Rockinitus Records’ Road Dog is Mark Hummel’s newest CD/LP, featuring mostly recordings from 2024, complemented by three previously unissued tracks from the 2015 sessions for Golden State Lone Star, along with a couple of previously unreleased gems. The All Stars on this recording are some of the most revered players in the Traditional Blues Genre - guitarists Anson Funderburgh and Junior Watson, in demand drummer Wes Starr, Elvin Bishop sideman and Fabulous Thunderbird members Bob Welsh on piano, Kedar Roy on bass plus bandleader and master blaster Mark Hummel. Six songs are original while others are well chosen covers.
